In June, the Canadian government launched the Canada Loan for Greener Homes. This program provides interest-free funding in addition to the Canada Greener Homes Grant launched last year. You can therefore expect a marked increase in demand for the renovation of doors and windows.

LOAN INFORMATION

• Maximum $40,000
• Minimum $5,000
• Repayment terms 10 years, without interest
• Unsecured personal loan, on approved credit

ELIGIBILITY

The loan is only offered in conjunction with the Canada Greener Homes Grant. Therefore, you must have applied for the grant and be deemed eligible. In addition, you must have obtained a pre-renovation appraisal of your home to apply for a loan. If homeowners are deemed eligible for the grant and have not completed their renovations, they can choose to participate in the Loan Initiative to help finance their renovations.
