This tip specifically addresses safe evacuation in the event of a fire. However, the mobile mullion option on a casement window may have other uses, for example, to bring in building materials (plywood, gypsum, wood, etc.).
* For a basement window to meet the emergency exit requirements of the National Building Code, the product must meet the following minimum dimensions: width (380 mm) and an opening area (0.35 m²). Consult our tips with reference to the requirements of the Egress standard.
